Pokemon Diamond and Pearl ROM
The Pokemon Diamond rom and Pearl rom are rpgs (role playing) video games created by Game Freak, published by Nintendo & The Pokemon Company for the NDS (Nintendo DS).
Both of these ROMs were the 1st Pokemon roms to kick off the 4th gen for the Pokemon game series. Pokemon diamond & pearl both made their debut in Japan of September 28 2006. While Australia, north America, and Europe had releases spreading out the course of 2007. The Pokemon Platinum rom which is an upgraded version, was released roughly 2 years later in each country.
Just like their past Pokemon ROMs you begin Pokemon Diamond & Pearl adventure as a young Pokemon trainer who progresses through the game by challenging other pokemon trainers with your Pokemon as well as preventing the plans from the nefarious criminal gang.
Pokemon diamond and pearl features
A lot of new features have been implemented such as playing on Nintendo's WiFi connection as well as the mechanics of Pokemon battling, Pokemon contests, and over 107 new Pokemon to catch!
Even though both games have some similarities, they're still their own respected pokemon titles. Although you can play both of them separately, it's recommended to play both of them if you're trying to fully complete each Pokedex. Both of these Pokemon Roms have the most legendary Pokemon on them, with Arceus becoming one of the most legendary Pokemon to this day.
The Diamond and Pearl ROM were first revealed at the Nintendo press conference in late 2004. Both of these games were designed with DS like features. Originally they were supposed to be put out in Japan late 2005, but we're actually made available on 2006.
To kick start the games release Nintendo created a limited edition Nintendo DS Lite for Japanese players as opposed to having a release party for North Americans.
Both Pokemon diamond and pearl version's mostly received positive reviews, critics actually praised the WiFi features that were added. However they felt that the developers didn't expand on the game play though it was still somewhat entertaining. The graphics weren't nothing to brag about as well as the audio was somewhat primitive.
With all of that being said the Pokemon diamond room and Pokemon pearl room still had more success their gba counterparts. Selling an estimated 18 million copies worldwide, more than 2 million compared to Pokemon sapphire & Pokemon Ruby, 2 million more than Pokemon Black and White, and a whopping 6 million more than Leafgreen & FireRed.
